Attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for freshman and early sophomore years
Transferred to the University of Texas at Austin graduating in 1981 with a BA in Biology
Attended the graduate school of biologic sciences at UTSA for one academic year
Served as a teaching assistant during graduate school, taught general biology and microbiology labs
Accepted into the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School 1982, graduating in 1986
Competed internship at Memorial Medical Center, Corpus Christi, TX in 1987
Licensed to practice medicine by the state of Texas 1987
Completed a Family Medicine Residency at Memorial Medical Center, graduating in 1989
Attained title of Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine 1990 (initial certification)
Attained title of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice 1996
Diplomat status re certified by the American Board of Family Medicine till year 2011
Practiced general family medicine briefly upon completion of residency, then served as staff physician
for several local urgent care and occupational medicine centers including; Southcross Minor Emergency Center, Nix Riverwalk Medical Clinic and Concentra Medical Centers.
In private practice between 1993 and 1997 primarily practicing occupational medicine though around that time was introduced to Homeopathic Medicine. I took a course with Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in California, and began consulting with patients for this around that same time.
I sold my occupational medicine practice to Concentra Medical Centers in early 1997 and continued to work for them on a part time basis, splitting my time between occupational medicine and Homeopathic medicine.
I continue to split my time between an urgent care practice now with Texas Med Clinic and my current private practice.
